Hello everybody, I'm Cubetastic and im new to the world of speedcubing and i thought this would be a good place to start and learn and in the end, improve!

I currently own a rubiks brand 4x4x4 a rubiks brand 2x2x2 and a rubiks brand 3x3x3
My best time for the 4x4x4 is 06:34.75
My best time for the 3x3x3 is 00:49.59 (Avg. 10: 01:07.59)
I have no recorded times of my 2x2x2 since i am currently learning Ortega method.

I know F2L for solving the 3x3, 2Look Oll(a few common algs of full oll) and 2Look Pll.

Other than cubing I like to play guitar, basketball and basicly any sport that happens outside.

I hope that I'll be able to improve my times with all the usefull infortmation on this site :D

Hi and welcome! I used to be just like you ;)

All I have to say is continue practicing f2l and other parts of CFOP. Go watch some Youtube tutorials by Badmephisto, they help. You can get to sub-30 using a rubik's brand but if you got something new like a Dayan Zhanchi or Guhong you could get sub-20 (perhaps). If you're interested in new cubes and puzzles I sell them for a great price with free shipping worldwide.

Thank you :) My goal for now is to get an average of sub 40 by the end of the summer (2 weeks) i cube for a couple of hours a day atm. Do you think theres any practicing techniques that you could reccomend? I have seen people use a metronome to time their moves to not have a delay between moves, but i just cant seem to find the right edge piece for f2l fast enough, I got a new(actually old but new for me) from someone and its really stiff so im using it to slow down while tracking the edge pieces :)

Thank you for the offer also, Maybe once i get more practice in and get better times i will look into your cubes :)

Using a metronome? I've never heard of that before!

When solving just do it really slow. Watch how your pieces interact with each other when you do f2l and also your last layer. This will help you find more intuitive ways to do f2l and improve your look ahead. Also try to see what your PLL is before you finish OLL... (I suck at this).
