I'm a speedcuber from Denmark and just wanted to get my first post and say hi :)
I use CFOP white/yellow cross and began practicing in march 2014. Today I got my first 3x3x3 sub-10 average of 5, which I'm really happy with

Average of 5: 9.94
1. 8.85 B2 D2 B' R2 U2 F D2 L2 B' F D' B L F' D B U' R U2 B2 L
2. (12.58) D R F U R' B U' D' R B D' R2 F2 U' L2 F2 D' F2 D' L2 U2
3. 11.70 D2 F2 U L2 R2 D' F2 D' B2 U' B2 F' U2 B' R' U2 L R2 B' U L
4. (8.40) B2 U' D2 L' F' R D' B D2 L' F2 B2 U' L2 B2 U' F2 R2 D' B2 U
5. 9.26 F U2 F2 R2 D2 F D2 F' D2 U2 B U' R B2 U L' B' D' L' R' F'
No skips

The ao12 turned out 10.80. Besides cubing I play piano, guitar and do calisthenics.
Looking forward to become a part of the community!

regards

thanks all and good luck Berd! any barrier is hard to break, but once you're there it seems so easy

Here's a quick solve I just got!

Scramble: R2 U' F D' F B2 R B D B' R2 U' F2 D F2 B2 R2 B2 L2 D2

z2
Cross: U R2 F R D'
F2L 1: U R U' R' U R U R'
F2L 2: y' R U' R' U2 R U' R'
F2L 3: y' L' U L
F2L 4: y' R' U' R U' R' U' R
OLL: (U) R U2 R2 F R F' R U2 R'
PLL: R U' R' U' R U R D R' U' R D' R' U2 R' (U)

56 moves / 8.45 = 6.6 tps

Wow, you're really fast o_O

Welcome to the forums. If you have the time you should look into blindfold solving, it's lots of fun and it's useful in real life.

thanks, how is BLD solving useful in real life? I have been doing it a little bit. at 3x3x3 my pb is 2:27, and 4x4x4 no successful attempt yet.. :p

Well... It'd be pretty fun for showing off :P
And wow... you do realise that it is very unheard of for somebody to get sub-10 Average of 5 in 10 months? Probably one of the fastest progressions to sub-10 ever :P

Haha well, with fear of sounding cocky tho I think it is in fact sub-Feliks.. but of course, I have a huge advantage being that I play the piano. also I got Moyu cubes all along

Welcome!
How much do you practice a day? Sub-10 in 10 months is just god-like progression.

thanks! I'm not sure how much I practice daily, but more than 1 hour. I already got at least 3 hours reserved for piano daily, so I try to find spare time to cube when I'm on the bus or train etc.. while watching TV and stuff
mainly I think my progression is fast because I'm already proficient at other things, which provided me a good learning capacity. I can sorta apply different experiences and learning theory from other aspects. Getting good at something is really about getting good at practicing, I think

Hey welcome to the forum. Seems like our progression is similar. How long did it take you to get sub 12? I've been cubing for 6 months and im sub 13.5 almost sub 13, but just need to do an ao 100 today. I wish i could practise more than an houra day on school days lol. I love summer break... 5h+ time for practise

BLD solving is impressive, but in reality you can use the memory sports ability to memorize information. You also need to be creative to remember all that information and you must have a good imagination.
