Hey, my name is Amanda. Colorado girl with a Texan heart.

I just recently got into speedcubing in the past month or so. I have been a nerd though for life. I enjoy math and science. Cubing has become very relaxing for me.

I am currently using a 3x3 MoYu YJ Sulong. I like it a lot. I have been collecting twisty puzzles and other 3d puzzles for a long time now. Started with the 3x3 rubik's cube brand, and now I have puzzles from the shengshou 4x4 and megaminx to the gear ball to meffert's skewb xtreme.

I also love Doctor Who and I'm a runner. I am attending South Dakota School Of Mines, but I was raised in Colorado. I run for their collegiate cross country and track programs.

Can't wait to become a good cuber. :):)

My average is about 50s, but my best is 45.03
I have only done the basic, beginner's method. I've been trying out fridrich, but my time is 1:30-1:40 average.

Like I said in my intro....I am just beginning to speedcube. I have been more of a puzzle collector more than anything.

Cool! Puzzle collecting is just as acceptable ;)
You dont have to be a speedcuber, but if you want to get into different types of twisty puzzles you should visit the twisty puzzle forum too! Although they often overlap, this forum is usually about speedsolving.
(not trying to tell you youre in the wrong place or anything, just letting you know a good place to go if youre into collecting :))
Also, if you do want to get good at speedcubing, I would recommend looking at other methods, too, before you get too fast with just fridrich, because you might like other ones more. There's a guide on here called "Beginners Guide to Choosing a Method" or something like that, I would go check that out.
Again, welcome!
