I’m very new to speedcubing! In fact, my first speedcube is coming in a few days. However, I have had a Rubik’s cube for years. Now that I know how to solve it, I want to get faster. I join this forum because I know there are many helpful people here who will help me achieve much faster times. I can’t wait to dive headfirst into speedcubing!

Have you considered what speedsolving method you are going to use?

Is that a good one to start with?

It is: it's basically an optimized version of the beginner method (making it both efficient and easy to transition to)
And it's also the most popular method, meaning there are many resources out there (tutorials, example solves, tips and tricks, etc)

But if you want to learn Roux go ahead, it's a really fun method too and it's as efficient as CFOP (though in different matters) ;)
