Hey I'm Squeek and I just signed up today (obviously lol). Im am not too good a cuber, I average 35 2 hands using 2 look OLL and I am starting to learn OH. Just a few questions I have.
1. Does it matter how I turn each face? Like is it ok if sometimes I use index for R' and such.
2. Are DIYs recommended? I use a store bought and its a piece of crap.
3. Last, do I need to relearn all the PLLs for OH algorithms? I only know 10 or so OLLs but I do know all PLLs.

1.) Turn them however is faster for you, but I don't think its a coincidence that a majority of the fastest OH cubers use the same finger tricks. There are people who are very fast tho and use index for R'.
2.) I use a DIY now but i use to use a store cube. For cube use whatever want.
3.) You dont need to relearn them. The ones for 2H work but if you are going for the WR you may want to relearn them.

Ok thanks Lofty. I have yet to own a DIY though, are they worth it? Im thinking of getting a green DIY (a) or (b).

I love my green DIY type (a)! I think they are worth it. Just Don't think you HAVE to go out and buy one or you will never be good tho.

I'm trying to adapt to a looser cube (DIY from 9spuzzles...I currently use a 25th anniversary one, over 2 years old) and to R' with ring finger...

And me. I use index finger for R' and I'm fairly fast with an average of 21.65, am I not?

Btw, today I had an average of 5 of 20.55!! First time I'm sub-WR!!
