Hey , I'm Melissa from Melbourne and i have recently started cubing again I remember at age nine I stole my friends rubiks cube (she didn't use it anyywayyss ) and brought my cube basically everywhere i went with me. I moved to Australia from south africa when i was ten, and i didn't bring my rubiks cube with me and had forgotten all about it since moving to this exciting new country. A couple of night ago i was having a conversation my boyfriend had told me that he was in the same math class as Feliks Zemdegs for school. Of course, i had no idea who that was, because its been around 5 years since i had last touched a cube, aha. I looked at Feliks's video where he sets the world record 5.66, and i was completely amazed, but i had completly forgotten how to solve a cube! Well anyway, hey again, hope to be a active part of this community

Also, there's a competition in Melbourne on November 24th, you should come A lot of people think they're too slow to compete, but it really is a fantastic experience and you get to meet other cubers (including Feliks ) and learn stuff. Link to competition page

If you can solve a cube in less than 10 minutes, there is no excuse not to compete No-one at a competition cares how fast you are, it's really not as serious as a lot of people think it is.

25 people registered so far. The last few Melb comps have had about 40 people, but this one looks like it'll be a bit smaller.
