My name is Emily but my friends call me Rubik's. I am currently a Freshman at Kent State University (KSU) (but will be a Sophomore in the spring) and will be turning 18 in October. And I initially got into the Rubik's Cube through youtube, I was on youtube and someone was watching a "how to solve the Rubik's cube" video and after that I became determined to solve it. I love science and am majoring in anthropology, and I like math as well (but I hate trig). I'm trying to get a Rubik's Cube club started at KSU and have the faculty adviser already in place.

I'm not what you call fast

But I use to average around 2:10 but the DIY cube I got brought it down (in a matter of days) to about 1:30-1:45 so not bad. I'm trying to learn to speedcube but balancing that with class can be a bit time consuming (my math professor has been helping though, he is also a rubik's cube nerd and all) but I guess it's not bad considering the only method I know well is the beginner method/layer by layer. But I've been getting better.

Learn Fridrich! Don't listen to anyone who talks about Roux, or Petrus, or anything else! Learn Fridrich! :D

Oh, and welcome! :)

Haha, I thought you were my friend :P.

I don't plan on telling anyone to switch to Roux, ever.
