I don't know if i am suppose to post this here but seens i am a beginner i guess this would be the place. I only started rubiks cubing 5 months ago.My fastest is 43 second so far.. it kinda sucks and i can only solve a 3 by 3 not one handed or anything just the basics. i have learnt F2L but i still slow in spotting and i want to lear OLL and PLL

So my question is if i just want to practise on OLL and PLL how do i go to the specific alg for me to use OLL then PLL again like i want to practise one particular case and keep doing it over and over again so can someone tell me how or i have to do it the hard way??? which is to memorise the entire thing and when i encounter any situation i just base on my memory to solve it?

To learn really fast do this: find a web page that has got the algs you need. Print the pages onto paper so you always can have them in front of you.

Then just do a solve, when you come to OLL and got a case you don't know, just look at the paper and do the alg from there. Do the same thing for PLL.

Do this every time you solve a cube and you will learn several cases every day.

In the beginning you may remember one case for a day but cannot recall it the other day, then just look at your "cheat sheets" again and you will go like "ah, yes, that's how it was!". After a while you will have to do that more and more rarley.

That's the millitary way to learn things, force yourself to do it instead of go like, "no, not that case again, I don't know how to solve it" and then you do 2 steps instead, that way it takes a loong time to learn all OLL (PLL is easier).

oh i see thanks i will do that... that was helpful but how long would it take??? estimate???

Depends on many things, the amount of time you spend on a daily basis cubing, your abillity to adapt, some learn fast some slow so it's really hard for me to estimate, but a guess, 2 hrs a day and you know most algs in two weeks, but has to think every time = pretty slow execution. Then a month more and it is starting to go fast (not "really fast", but "fast").

i made myself a sheet. i took all the cases and looked on several pages to see which alg fits me the best. i didnt know about this page back then. here you can find a lot of algs in the speedcubesection. i learned the basic oll´s and pll´s first. after cubing for a few days i choose the case (OLL) that apeared "the most". learned that one and so on. after a while i thought it would be good to learn the PLL´s as well. i just did one alg, over and over again, till i knew him. i only miss 4 cases and i didnt wont to learn them (but i will soon).

3. When starting a thread, make the topic title as clear as possible. Example: do not just make a thread titled: ‘HELP HELP!’; people should be able to understand the topic of the thread by reading the title.
Taken from the rules.

For F2l i use a Fridrich F2l with Pairs edge and corners together then places them.
