Does anyone know another website other than Erik's page for the Guimond method for solving the 2x2?
I have problems with the last stage since;
I seem to end up with a case for the final step which isn't listed around 60% of the time;
Yes i try turning the cube and turning the top layer to group cubies but still can't recognise the case i end with...
(Obviously this is just me since alot of people learn the method there)
Any help?

I don't know Guimond, but the last step is equal to Ortega (D and U faces seperated and oriented). Now for the final step just count how many "horizontal bars" exist. A horizontal bar is when (example) the F sticers on Down-Left-Front and Down-Right-Front are both the same color.

0 bars: Just do something like R2 F2 R2
1 bar: position at Down-Front and do (R' D L') U2 (L D' R)
2 bars: position at Down-Front and Up-Front and do (R2 U R2 U2) y' (R2 U R2 U2) (last U2 included just for simplicity)
4 bars: Y-Perm or any other PLL or special 2x2x2 variation that swaps 2 diagonal corners
5 bars: A-Perm, J-Perm, T-Perm or any other PLL that swaps 2 adjacent corners (A-Perm swaps 3, but it works any way if you position just 1 corner correctly)
8 bars: Figure it out yourself ;)

So if you can already solve a 3x3x3 all you need is the first 3 algs which are REALLY easy
