You have to remember which piece is the "key" cubie; the one that turns with the pieces inside the circle. If you keep this out of the way, you can use intuition and a lot of (R2 U2) x3

This kind guy made a tutorial on it. If you need any algs just ask me.

OK I need an alg to swap 2 inner edge pieces that are on opposit sides.
Very sorry, I didn't post the link!:fp

Adjacent edge switch? To switch FU and FD(with 3x3 side facing you)

R L U2 L2 U2 R' L' U2.

Make sure to do it on the unfixed side.

I meant the FU edge and the BD edge but the ones inside the circle

Oh. Hold them as DL and UR:

(R L B2 L2 B2 R' L') y' (R' L F2 R L') U2 (R' L F2 R L') U2 (R' L F2 R L')

It's long, but I don't use the same method as you.

As long as the cube is in a solvable state. (i.e. you didn't do the wierd shape shift which makes it impossible to solve the inner circle as a floppy cube), you can solve the inner circle like a floppy using [(R2 U2)x3]. This swaps the UF and UB outer edge pieces and acts as a R2 for the "floppy cube" circular area. When doing the next move, just swap the UF and UB edges back and as long as you have an even number of moves, you will solve it.

Practice a floppy cube and it will help.

Just make sure to keep the key piece in either FDL or BDL.

It's hard to explain but when you know it, it is an interesting puzzle.

I'm still having trouble with this puzzle. I wasn't able to follow the video tutorial all the way through, but I tried the chinese tutorials and I can get it ALMOST solved.
But, those tutorials have you bring the edges into their correct layer, and then permute the edges in their layer... But there is a problem... because it only gives you algs to permute the edges of the TOP layer, and I have 2 unpermuted edges in my BOTTOM layer!

Anyone know how to swap 2 adjacent edges on the bottom layer? (the 2 edges opposite the key corner)

With 2 opposite ones on the bottom:

M2 (H perm(First M2 cancels out)) M2 then just switch opposite edges.

The was I solve makes solving the bottom layer unnecessary. It permutes and orients the bottom layer edges at the same time.

Ah, i think I see now. I can just use m2 to get those bottom edges into the top layer, then swap them, then put them back in bottom.

Solved! Yay!
