i need to learn a new way to solve the 3x3x3, but some of the methods seem too confusing. if anyone has a easy way to learn it please post.

p.s.- i use a layer by layer method, if you look on youtube and search pogobat, you will find his tutorials and thats what i learned

you may use keyhole for first advantage or learn fridrich f2l, both should speed you up to about 1 minute solves if you learn some fingertricks and learn doing those algos you always need (at pogobats solution, it would be R' D' R D) as fast as you can.

€: I learnt fridrich from badmephistos video on youtube, it explains the way you do it so you don't need algorithms just understand it and practise it

Using just the tutorial here, I brought my time to under 60 seconds.

I did switch the Orienting Edges and Permuting Corners steps, which seemed to go quicker than using the order on this tutorial. It did get a little complicated though, because I would have to permute the corners to a certain unsolved state so that they would be right after Orienting Edges (which swaps some corner pieces). So I'm not certain how this actually lowered my time, but it did

Personally i would learn fridrich, its a really simple solution. I see no point in learning and getting really good at all these methods that people use as a setup up to fridrich, just go with a beginner fridrich solution which will probably show you a hand full of last layer algs which you can then add to by learning the rest when you are ready.

I don't see how these two things are different. The "setup to friedrich" methods use the same layer by layer approach, and many of the same last layer algorithms as the full Friedrich. This is the same as the beginner Friedrich solutions you are talking about.

I still use the Orient Edges algorithms that I learned from the peter.stillhq.com page, and the sune, anti-sune, double sune, and A-perm are all used in both the setup solution and the full friedrich.

I suppose i sort of contradicted my self, but key hole as a step into fridrich f2l?
