Help me I.D. this cube - Original Deluxe maybe
Hi.
I bought a couple of cubes (and a rubik's suduko too) yesterday and I am not sure about one of the cubes.
-Logo is Rubik's Script over CUBE in squared block letters with TM printed right on the white sticker written horizontally like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fa/1980-Rubik%27s-Cube.jpg
-Has pop in Center caps with screws in a very tight hole recess surrounded by a faint square image just a little bigger than the hole
-Core is white/yellowish
-has arched centers
-plastic is really thick -- like twice the normal width
-corners do NOT have caps and the part that is inside the cube (leg?) has a small circular hole in one side to hollow it
-stickers are vinyl and I am pretty sure they are the originals
-Lastly the colour scheme which seem to be the original is white on top, orange/green/yellow/red with blue on the bottom ?? Opposite: W/B R/G O/Y Red next to Orange is very strange to solve.
-it feels like an older cube but the non capped corners are confusing me.
any ideas??? For 99 cents I was buying it no matter what it was.

edit: While the colours and logo match many early cubes, based on the open corners I think it just might be one of these ones (or the North American Equivalent ) http://www.speedcubing.com/ton/pages /Rubik%27s%2017%20Ideal%20UK.htm
