hey guys....i hvae learned a method from a site....and there wasnt method name :D just 3x3x3 BLD and i have learnt it and solving in 10minutes :/ memorizing 3minutes+solving7minutes
Which method am i using?
1.im doing corner orientation (twisting the corner to CW=RUR'U' L URU'R' L'....twisting the corner to CCW=URU'R' L' RUR'U' L)
2.im doing edge orientation (MUMUMU2M'UM'UM'U2)
3.im doing corner permutation (J(a)-perm)
4.im doing edge permutation (T-perm)
AND SOLVED.. WHICH METHOD AM I DOING? :D

AND SHOULD I LEARN M2/R2 AND 3-OP TO GET FASTER? AND WHATS MEAN THE TARGET IN THESE METHODS?

that is called 2OP, 2-cycle orient permute. it takes the worst parts of old pochmann and 3op and makes a method out of them. Learn either M2/old pochmann or M2/3op.

Orient-Permut methods have long execution, but the memo is easier (in my opinion). I suggest switching to old pochmann for both edges and corners, but then I'd say TuRBo is a better method for edges than M2 (just a personal opinion, by the way).
At the beginning you will struggle a bit with the memo, since in old pochman (and so in M2, TuRBo, or BH) you orient and permute at the same time, but you will become faster quickly.

You have fewer things to memorize, but you need to distinguish, for example, between the edges UB and BU. I know it can be difficult for beginners.
But this is my opinion, as always, maybe someone finds it easier.

True but that is not memo, that is "recognition".
But as recognition is part of the memo process I will not hold this against you ;-)

I'd agree with this. OP/3OP for both -> TuRBo edges -> BH -> Freestyle. M2 can be substituted for TuRBo and could be an easier transition from OP/3OP due to more accessible guides, but with Zane's tutorial, learning it should be pretty easy. TuRBo also is a better transition into more advanced techniques. I'd also go with OP over 3OP but you should know the theory around 3OP and you should learn a few of its algorithms since they're quite handy.

Imo as long as you approach M2 in the right way, it can lead into a 3 cycle method quite nicely with DF. All you have to do is replace the bad cases :D

My advice to the OP is to go for Old Pochmann corners and M2 edges. Although it takes a tiny bit more learning, I think Macky's version of M2 is the best to help any future transitions.

Although if you're used to memorising orientation and permutation separately, learning Macky's 3OP might actually be faster...

can you make a video on 3op. i have trouble making cycles. i can do old pochmann edges and i like it but its time consuming
