Hello everyone! I’m 11 years old, and I’ve been learning the 3x3 Rubik’s Cube for 40 days now. For the first 15 days, I learned by following YouTube videos. However, I later met my coach, who pointed out the mistakes in my technique and taught me some common OLL and PLL algorithms, as well as the correct finger tricks. He asked me to complete each algorithm in 1.5 seconds. Currently, my fastest solve time is 31 seconds, and my average is around 40 seconds. I still use the Layer-by-Layer method (LBL) for C and F. I believe that consistent practice is the key to my progress. Thank you!

Welcome!! Don't worry, you will get better, and I hope you do so with our help!

HELLOOOO!

If you're looking for a goofy but fast Z perm: S M'2 S' u M'2 u' M'2
Goofy Ua (bar on the left) R2 U' S' U'2 S U' R2
Goofy Ab (bar on the left) R'2 U R2 S R2 S' U' R'2

Also if you learn Gc perm, you can do all the G perms. Gd is Gc backwards. Ga is Gc with left hand and U2 before and after. Gb is Gd with U2 before and after. =]

Thanks for sharing! I actually know these algs, but my coach doesn't allow me to use them. He thinks they are flashy but not efficient in the long run. He wants me to stick to standard algorithms and practice them consistently, believing that with enough training, they will be even faster. But honestly, I really like doing them—they're so cool!

Well, s/he/they might be true, and they could just be trying to instil good habits for alg learning, but S M'2 S' u M'2 u' M'2 is the fastest as it can be done in 0.56 seconds.

Welcome to the forums! you have an awesome profile picture!
Thanks! This is the GAN11 M Pro (Fish version). I really like it, but it's too expensive, so I don’t have it yet. These are my other two cubes—I built them by mixing GAN15 Edge and GAN15 10th Anniversary Edition.😁

lol i only use the SuM z perm cus its easier to remember than the MU z perm
