Good Day,

I just joined the forums and I would like to introduce myself.

I am Tristan, 19 years old, home schooled and I live Colorado. I started cubing back in the fall of 2015 and since then I have really gotten into cubing, and I have enjoyed every moment of it, (even the fails). I have known about the forums for about 8 months now and really have enjoyed seeing the great community that it is, and I have now decided to join.

At the moment (when given the chance at a competition) I can compete in all of the WCA official events other then 5x5 BLD, which I am looking at practicing once I get better at 4x4 BLD and have more success's. I do not have a favorite event that I like better then the other but as of right now I have been focusing on 5x5-7x7, Square 1, Megaminx, and 4x4 BLD, although that can change depending on what I feel like practicing. My mains, pb's single/average ao5 and method(s) are,

3x3 - Qiyi Valk Power M - 6.46/10.57 CFOP
2x2 - Qiyi Wuxia M - 0.52/1.75 CLL
4x4 - Qiyi Wuque - 39.32/50.24 My own take and twist on Yau, but with solving all 6 centers first.
5x5 - Qiyi Wushuang - 1:29.?/1:53.27 Freeslice
6x6 - Qiyi Wuhua v1 - 3:27.?/3:49.? Freeslice
7x7 - Qiyi Wuji - 5:50.?/6:27.? Freeslice
3x3 OH - Qiyi Valk Power M - 18.75/24.62 - CFOP
3x3 - BLD Qiyi Valk Power M - 1:42.93/2:20.? - OP/OP but starting to do more solves with M2/OP.
3x3 FMC - varies - 36/NA - Basic beginner type block building, with CFOP
3x3 Feet - Qiyi Valk M - 4:38.79/NA - CFOP
Megaminx - X-man Galaxy v2- 1:12.02/1:32.46 - Star/f2l/s2l/4lll.
Pyraminx - X-man Bell - 1.27/4.74 - 1 Flip/Oka/Keyhole, starting to practice WO/Nutella.
Skewb - Qiyi Wingy - 1.20/3.98 - Sarah's Intermediate, starting to learn Sarah's Advanced.
Square 1 - Cosmic Volt M - 9.73/19.16 - Lars Vandenbergh, starting to learn CSP.
Clock - Rubik's brand - 7.56/ 11.92 - Standard method
4x4 BLD - Qiyi Wuque - 18:38.?/NA - M2/r2/OP
3x3 MBLD - varies - 4/6 in 48:81.?

There, I think that is all of the official events.

On top of cubing I really enjoy raising dogs (Australian Shepherds to be precise, I own three right now, with most likely acquiring two more at the end of this year) and I have had 2 litters of puppies this last year which has been really enjoyable to raise and care for the puppies. I like to read, play music (nothing great just basic tunes on piano, recorder, guitar and ukulele) and play sports such as, Soccer, Disc Golf, Volleyball, Bowling, and Ultimate Frisbee, all of these being with family and friends.

I look forward to getting more involved in this cubing community, and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

For now that is all, and please ask questions if you have any.

You are welcomed:).
BTW, can you please tell your 3BLD memo system?
Thank you for the welcome.

For single 3x3 blind I memo for the most part visually for corners and then edges I mix visual with just repeating the letters in order such as (DKROCN...etc), I am working on letter pairs and audio for edges, so hopefully soon I will be better at that. For 3x3 multiblind and 4x4 blind, I do the standard "rooms method" and assign one room per cube and divide that room in two for corners and edges on 3x3, and for 4x4 I assign a different room for each step, (3 rooms total). Hopefully this helps answer your question. Please let me know if you have any additional ones.
