Hi all,
Thanks for having me here!
Late october 2017 i was just browsing along and watching some videos on Youtube. I came across a channel in which a guy sets goals and tries to meet these goals in a relatively fast pace and films his progress.
One of the goals was to try and solve a rubiks cube 3x3 in under 2 minutes. He achieved his goal pretty quickly and I was intrigued.
Solving a rubiks cube was always something that caught my interest, but never did I have any confidence that I would be able to do it. Until that video.
I ordered a rubiks brand speedcube and it arrived on the 25th of octobre. I watched a video about the LBL method over and over again to learn some basic algs until I was able to solve the cube without explanation. On the 26th I was able to solve the cube in 5 minutes.
I stuck with the beginnersmethod for around 4 days and in the meantime I saw several videos about CFOP.
Gradually I became familiar the (white) cross on the bottom and intuitive F2L and for the last layer I still used a beginners approach.
I learned the algs for 4LLL and after around 1000 solves or so I average around 1 minute and 2 seconds and my PB single is 44.16 s.
Now I'm in the process of learning full PLL and learning fingertricks.
I'm aware that the rubiks brand isn't the best choice when it comes to speedcubing, so I ordered 3 other cubes, but these are still on its way from China and should arrive within the next week.
I ordered the:
In the meantime I will continue to absorb information (why I'm here), learn algs and trying to get my times under a minute consistantly.
My short term goals are to:

See you around!
