Hi!

I'm 33 and started cubing 1.5 years ago. I've only every solved 3x3 and occasionally 2x2. I average 28 :) My pb is 17.17. I've never participated in any contests.
A bit about me... 3 kids, a wife. Was working as a journalist, now I'm a communicator at the local municipality. I recently moved to this, very small, town, and felt alone with my cubing interest, so I offered free lessons in the library, last spring. So far I've taught 11 people or so. :)
See you around!

Out of curiosity, how easy/difficult was it to teach them?

Hi!
I found that it was very much depending on the person, and their dedication and ability to concentrate. Most of these were 11-13 years old. Some came to really learn, some came because their friends did.
I used badmephisto's beginner's guide: http://badmephisto.com/begsoln/ and followed them through the steps. The most difficult thing to teach, for me personally, was the cross. Everything else is just algorithms.
And when that was done, when they could solve it with that cheat sheet , I showed them some common OLL:s, some PLL:s and a few basic F2L cases, to get them started. :)
