Hello forum, I have been cubing since Christmas 2013 and have come quite far, my best time is 22 seconds.

I joined this forum so I could chat to other cubers, there are only 3 more people in my school who can solve a Rubik's cube and they use the beginner method still. There will soon be 4 other school solvers because I am teaching a girl the beginner method (she now knows the orientation of the last layer.)

I live in the UK in the south west and have finished f2l! I am around 2 thirds through OLL and am 5 sevenths (to be precise) through PLL :D. I learned 1 'G' perm and used mirror and inverse algorithm skills to work out the other 3, without those skills, I would never have learnt a third of the OLL and half of the PLL!

Welcome! my pb is 21.90 thats so close. i've started a little later than you. but I've also no people to chat with about speedcubing. If you have skype feel free to add me. my name there is also engeerik. (if i'm right)

Welcome! There aren't many cubers here in the southwest unfortunately, and as a result there aren't many competitions here; most are in/near London or the north.
I would advise learning PLL before OLL; PLL is more useful than OLL. If you can use 2-look OLL, that should be enough for now. Full OLL really isn't necessary to get fast! It does help though :) But 57 is quite a lot of algs to learn.
