Hi! I'm a young speedcuber from Perth, Australia. I own four cubes as of this post: DaYan ZhanChi (stickerless), MoYu AoLong v2, MoYu AoSu and MoYu LingPo. I learnt how to solve a 3x3 in June this year and already average ~19 seconds on 3x3, using CFOP. I'm getting some more puzzles; they're on the way
For my LL, I'm using full PLL and 2 Look OLL but know maybe under 10 OLLs for 1 look. My PB Single is 13.56.
For 4x4 I'm using Yau and started solving 4x4 with Yau. I never learnt Reduction. I average around ~1:40 and my PB is 1:26.69.
For 2x2 I use Ortega but my algs aren't very efficient. My PB single is 1.28 and I average around 6 seconds.
I enjoy video games and started at a young age, maybe when I was around five years old. I still play games to this day and my favourite is either Pokémon or League of Legends.
I play trombone and piano as musical instruments. I have performed in front of about 2000 people playing trombone with two other trombonists my age, and they thoroughly enjoyed our performance. I've done three piano exams and every single time I have received a B+.
A random cubing story:
Recently I brought my AoLong v2 to school and people were amazed at my speed. Here's some of the examples of the comments they gave me:
"Is that thing rigged?"
"That's so creepy!"
Around a week later, I brought them along to my school camp for a "Talent Quest". I'll tell you all the stories of that sometime else.
Speedcubing is a definite hobby for me and I will continue to do it.
Another random thing, I promised myself I wouldn't get any lube unless a competition is held here. There hasn't been one for about three years.
I don't recall seeing cuber in Perth my whole life, and the last person here who posted on this forum was back in 2012. I assume the cubing community in Perth is very small and there's even a possibility I am the only cuber in Perth. anyway about that,
Thanks for reading this, and I hope I can have a nice stay and feel welcome at the SpeedSolving forums.
