Hi all I’m Mule,
I started cubing about 6 weeks ago when my nephew asked me to solve the cube he got for xmas.
So a lot of YouTube videos later a few late night amazon purchases it’s safe to say I’m hooked, I take one everywhere I go ( I have a very active mind and the cube helps )
Anyway I’ve got my times down to just over 2 mins with the layer by layer method I’m currently trying to learn the f2l but it’s blagging my head so I though joining the forum was the best way to go an get advice from people in the same situation as myself
Happy cubing and thanks for having me

If you have trouble doing F2L you can also consider doing other methods like Roux or you can simplify it by doing LBL or doing EO before F2L.

Yes, F2L could likely slow you down at first, but will make you faster in the end.
There are of course tons of videos to learn from, I think the one in this playlist are good:

But as others have said, you don't have to stick with CFOP, other methods can be fun and efficient too: Roux, ZZ, etc.
here's FIXLL, an intro to 4LLL if you like CFOP or if you want more efficiency, there's a "beginners" corners-first method:
