[WR] Haiyan Zhuang 32.27 BLD single

Perhaps Haiyan's method, speed optimized BH, or move optimal BH are all variations of some larger meta-method? I would include all of Classic Pochmann, M2/R2, TuRBo, and also big cube center U2 methods in this too.

I don't know what the meta method would be called, but the core ideas behind it seem to be:

Well, maybe the real method here is less generalized than that... the basic idea would be that you have some completely braindead (algorithmic) way to solve any 3-cycle from a fixed buffer, without setups. That seems to encompass BH as well as what Haiyan uses. Perhaps we could call it ZBH (Zhuang-Beyer-Hardwick), which also includes the letters 'ZB' and thus fully expresses how many cases have to be learned

Why doesnt he memorise during inspection and solve with his eyes close.

It defeats the whole purpose of practicing BLD during regular 3x3 speedsolves.

Apparently we need to have that as a sticky. Feels like this has now been explained at least four times in this thread but people still keep asking it over and over again.

I know this topic is kinda old, but I didn't want to make a new one just for this.
Is there an error: http://www.worldcubeassociation.org/results/p.php?i=2008ZHUA01 or does he really have such a huge number of DNFs ? Both for bld and normal 3x3. I think it's hilarious :).

EDIT: Sorry, I've just read he BLD's both speed and BLD events...but still many DNFs.

Sorry to bring back a very old thread, but I didn't see this addressed anywhere. What's Haiyan's corner buffer sticker? From
http://archive.garron.us/solves/2009/zhuang_35_96_BLD.htm
I thought it was DBL. It's a little hard to tell since your reconstruction cancels cube rotations, but now it looks like UFR. With which top/front colors was the scramble applied? I know he solves with green/red.

Ok looking more carefully now, I see that both scrambles were in fact applied with white/green and that Haiyan solves with green/red. He uses UR for the edge buffer in both solves but holds it like FR most of the time in the 32.27 solve. But for corners, he use DBL for 35.96 and UFR for 32.27. I'm very confused.
