Hello there SpeedSolving community ,
The name is Xyphos but you can call me Nagi or Nagg/Nagggg if you want.

I've already known this site for quite a while but never bothered to register.
anyway I'm 14 and I've been cubing since late November in 2011 and kinda stopped cubing for a few months cause of school. But now I'm back to the cubing world and at the same time got interested in speedcubing.

For now I only solve the 3x3 because there aren't any other puzzles sold in my region.
My personal best with the 3x3 is 21.7 secs but sadly my average is still far far away from that which is about 30-45 secs with some warmups :o without warmups my solves can go up to 60 secs :p

This is probably a common question but I'm a bit confused about the concept of lookahead , is it to track the pieces of the incoming F2L pair or to predict where the next pair will be ? some tuts says that it's to predict where the next pair is some to track where the next pair is ... that made me totally confused  BTW I average around 15-25 secs from the Cross to F2L

Lookahead can be both tracking the pieces or spotting your next piece and knowing based on the move you are about to do where that piece will end up.

Hi, welcome :)

What brand of cube do you use?

Look-ahead is Look-not-at-the-pieces-that-you-are-currently-solving-but-at-the-ones-you-will-be-solving-next.
So while solving a certain F2L-pair (for example, since this also applies to look-ahead during cross-solving), you do not look at those 2 pieces, but scan the rest of the unsolved part of your cube for pieces you want to solve next. Once found, you can follow their movement (e.g. tracking) or trying to 'predict' where they will end up, or a combination of both.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and thanks speed solve.
Also thanks aznanimedude and Goosly for the info.
What brand of cube do you use?
I'm not sure about the brand of my cube , I'm just using a cheap speedcube that I got from a book store cost less than 2$ xD but the cube is very good.
