Hello guys. My name is Daniel. I'm from Indonesia. I'm not new to speedcubing, but I'm new here in this forum.

I've been cubing for several years and my average right now is about 11~13s. I'm stuck at that average, and it kind of depressed me :p.

I do my entire F2L intuitively, and I only know about 40 OLL algs. Currently I'm learning the rest of the OLL. I'm considering to also learn F2L algorithms, but should I? There are helluva lot of F2L algorithms and I don't want to waste my time learning it if it doesn't make me *much* faster. Another reason why my time doesn't improve is because of my sucky look head during F2L. Do you have any tips on how to improve my look ahead?

So yeah, nice to meet you all!

Welcome! You're faster than me. I don't think there's much need for you to learn F2L algs. Chances are that by now you know your F2L well enough that they basically are algs anyway if you know what I mean. So unless you have some F2Ls that are longer than about 7 moves or that you want to know how to insert from some other weird angle... it could help maybe. If you don't know X-cross maybe you can look into some of that. How is your look ahead "sucky"? Maybe you can show a video of some solves.

Welcome! If you're stuck at a barrier you should leave it alone for awhile, or else you'll get really frustrated. Try new methods (ZZ ftw), practice other puzzles. Have fun!

Welcome! Look ahead is just practice. Move slow, but consistently. It is typically faster than moving fast with lots of pauses. Gradually increase speed overtime without creating pauses.
