I ordered a lanlan 2x2 as a gift for my brother from a company on Amazon, based in China. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=41HE1HiKIuL&ref=plSrch
It eventually came after about a month and I'm almost certain it's not what I ordered. I wasn't expecting much for £2.70 but the right cube would be nice! The main giveaway was the lanlan having a distinctive colour scheme as purple replaces orange. My cube has the standard colour scheme. It didn't come in a box and has no logos but they sent a shengshou 2x2 guide. On further inspection it seems without taking it apart to be a shengshou 2x2 - 3 screws (same as lanlan), matte and textured stickers and almost square cube shape and size.
My question now is is there anyway I could conclusively determine whether the cube is also fake as well as the wrong brand?
It's difficult to tell as I know the lanlan/shengshou aren't great 2x2s but it's very slow (almost too slow to use finger tricks) compared to my Wittwo and can only corner cut up to about 10-20° one way.
