I just started cubing three days ago. My current best is 1:34 using beginners method. Is this good?

I'm currently in the process of learning Fridrich F2L.

It's ok, I guess. You'll get better really fast.
You should learn the basics of all step. Like basic F2L, then 2 LookOLL with 2 LookPLL at the same time. Then all PLL, then all OLL and a little more F2L in the middle of all that.

Thats awesome! At this rate you'll be sub-minute in no time at all! Just practice practice practice... I would reccomend learning intuitive F2L, 2 look OLL, 2 Look PLL, Special F2L cases, Full PLL, and then OLL. Also work on solving the cross as efficient as possible. THe thing I reccomendworking on the most is F2L. Try to look ahead into F2L and not have any pauses. Good luck with everything. Cubing is pretty darn addicting :D

Am I right, or everyone who spells it 'addicting'?

I think it can go either way.

Yay, I un-lazied myself and found the answer.

Basically ambiguous, but you should use addictive where possible. Addicting annoys the hell out of me anyway.

I guess if you really think about it, addicting would be a verb, whereas addictive is an adjective. But most people don't care. But I'll use addictive whenever I remember, just for you. :p

Really, a grammar fight? Haha.

Anywho, I almost have Fredrich F2L down. I have yet to time myself with it though. It feels like I'm solving slower now, but I guess when you consider it takes out a whole step, it might break about even.

Yeah you always get slower. After you get used to the idea you will slowly get faster times. and your brain will pick things out faster also. =D

WHOA GREAT

When i started, it took me 2 weeks to learn the algorithm and i got 2:30 times.

Not really. It was two people in agreement.

It probably will break even. Just remember nobody has ever really mastered f2l, you will always be able to have a little more lookahead, or a more optimal solution.
