getting back into cubing

Hey guys! I’ve been burnt out since last year, and might buy a Hudong, is there any tips you all could give me to get back into cubing one handed and 3x3?
idk any tips, even though i left cubing for other hobbies for days.
practicing->learn newalgs should be the key to refreshing

Practice leads to wonderful things. To achieve goal x(long term) try to achieve goal w(short term goal)
To go for one hand, I think practicing no inspection can help. Drill for a while, then inspect the cube to get reoriented and look ahead will be a lot easier! I do that! But then again, I am weird. I do 9x9 one hand with no magnets, no corner cut, no antipop, it is a horrid nightmare. But I do it to improve my 3x3 one hand finger tricks. Self torture has lead to wonderful things for me. Like I said, I am weird

Spam solves. The only way you’ll be able to improve is if you know what you are doing inefficiently/wrong. I would suggest making a new main session (if you have a main session), and then doing the solves on there. That way you can track your improvement from when you “restarted” cubing, rather than comparing yourself to your old averages. This makes it so that you actually feel a sense of “I’m improving” rather than “I’m not as fast as I used to be”. When you’ve done a few hundred solves or so, you can start learning things you don’t know, like full PLL, full OLL, more F2L algs, etc. As for 3OH, I found that getting better at 3x3 also improves 3OH, so I would suggest mainly practicing 3x3, since 3x3 skills carry on to 3OH.

Also when you get back into it, don’t forget that we still have that DM from like months ago about the critique (you “promised” you’d send the video and scrams lol)
