Gan 356 m GES

Im stressing to buy the lite version or the standard. What GES nuts do you guys use on your gan cube? I feel like blue ges are fine.

Blue GES feel pretty loose and the 356m is stupid fast with them no matter how you set it up, If at all possible I say get the standard edition or a Gan X or SM. I regret not getting the standard edition personally!

Blue on 0.6 in my 356 M, with a couple drops of 50k Traxxas to slow it down to a manageable speed for OH

I wouldn't recommend the Gan 356 M at all, it isn't really worth the price. I would highly suggest the RS3M 2020 or the Guhong V4. The RS3M is widely considered the best-performing all-around cube (despite only being $9) and the Guhong V4 is very similar to the Gan 11 M Pro in feel and performance, pretty much the only same except that it doesn't have the customization.

Yeah if you aren't at a point in your cubing career or at a skill level where you know exactly what you want/need you really should just go for something on the low budget end. Just try to get something you think will feel good, there's plenty to choose from. I personally got the 356 M because I knew I liked Gan cubes and it was the only real option I had in my price range.

I have to agree here. For far less money, you get vastly better performance. The less expensive Gan cubes normally don’t perform very well. The Guhong v4 is probably your best bet if you want something that’s like an 11m pro for far less money.

Yes, I do reccomend the Guhong V4. But be careful because the plastic is very thin and weak.

Agreed. The rs3m and gouhong are good options now.
However I prefer my M over X

How do you control that.

Quite easily, it turns slower than my 11M with purples on 0.8

It also turns slower than my ZhanChi .. and very nearly as slow as my Rubik's Brand from 2009

I still cannot get the feel to match the smoothness and easy turning of the GAN X (I bought both used).
I was originally using green nuts on 0.8. I tried switching back to blue (I think the default) but I catch and lock up even more. Yellow is more stable but maybe too tight. Also the cube gums up quickly and eats up lube.

I cleaned out my cube and the speed and more classic GAN feel is back. All that Traxxas 50k was gumming up the cube.
