I've invented a game, but some one else might have invented it before, but I haven't heard of it. The game is to scramble and solve a 4x with only <r, l, U2, D2, F2, B2>. r =(Rr). Try it out with the scramble (I use purple/orange front, Yellow Up):

D2 l' r' F2 l2 F2 U2 B2 r' D2 U2 F2 l D2 l' F2 r' D2 F2 D2 U2

I'll explain my way of solving it, and if you want to try yourself (which I recommend), I wouldn't read this before.

Guide:
I begin with a two-piece cross. In my scramble that is just a simple
r' l'
Then I do F2L-pair, and putting them down. For example
F2 l U2 l'
continuing
U2 r U2 r'
l' U2 l r' U2 r l' U2 l U2 l' U2 L
U2 [r' U2 r U2]x3 r' U2 r

For the last layer I use the normal OLL-parity algorithm, the algorithm
r2 B2 r2 ,
r U2 r’ U2 l U2 l’ U2 r U2 r’
For PLL-parity, I use the/a normal OH H-perm
r2 U2 r U2 r2 U2 r2 U2 r U2 r2

Now I wonder, what method do you use? I've tried Corners First, and Edges first, but I can't make them faster nor easier.

It's called Domino.

Yeah, this essentially is a domino (2x3x3 cuboid). You can actually simulate any LxMxN cuboid (with L, M, and N all 4 or less) on a 4x4x4, if you know what turns to allow. You can also simulate a domino on the 3x3x3 by allowing only R2, U, and D turns; the middle layer can sometimes be an R2 from solved, but if you solve the domino part the middle layer will be solved, so it's still an equivalent puzzle.

For solving this thing, personally I am a fan of what you could call a basic layer-by-layer method. Do a z so that the moves are R2 L2 F2 B2 Uw Dw, and then solve the bottom half using blockbuilding, and the top half with the Domino T-perm ((R2 U R2 U' R2) U' D (R2 U' R2 U R2) D') and edge swap ((R2 U2)3).

19.00 first try! Thanks for the alg and the scrambler, Michael! (Done on a 3x3x3).
Why are there no D turns in the scrambler?
