G5/G4 timer questions

[hecker2s]

Hello, I wanted to ask people with the g5 or g4 timer, if you dont have a mat, does the timer fly off/move? i want to know how important a mat is for the timer.

also, would you recommend the gen4 or the gen5?
does the gen5 feel good to use with the small pads?
does the save times feature of the gen4 matter?

I don’t really use it. Your timer will not move much when placed directly on a surface

Not really. I have used a friend's timer and it looks like it has small pieces of rubber on the underside.
