G Perms

So I was thinking about it, and I want to switch G Perms. I am currently using the R U u G perms, but I heard Mats Valk uses the R U D ones. I only use R U D for the Gd and Gb(I do this from multiple angles, also using the F U R u) Perm, but I have tried the R U D for the Ga Perm. It's pretty fast, but I find the U' D at the same time in the middle kind of awkward (nothing I can't get used to, though.) So should I switch? I need opinions on speed and maybe from someone who actually uses the R U D G Perms. Thanks!
