So I'm thinking about making flashcard sets to sell (maybe through some distributors? if there's enough interest) to aid in learning algorithm sets. I know that I personally would prefer physical flashcards to apps or to printed sheets or whatever, and have made some for myself for learning WV, which is nice. My question is, would you guys be interested in this? There's a poll at the top of course, but this thread is just for feedback.

Basically the way it would work would be a picture of the case on the front of the card on the left, and an optimal set-up alg (as opposed to the inverse so as to not recognize the alg) on the right. Then, when you flipped it over, the alg would be written out on the back, with several to choose from for more popular sets like OLL and PLL.

Also if there is interest, what sets would you like to see? Obviously full OLL and PLL, but what else? WV, ZBLL 2GLL, etc? Maybe this won't ever take off, but if it does, I would like to have some idea of what people are interested in.

Finally, if you think this just wouldn't work, or no one would buy it, I would like to hear that too. I know most of you aren't afraid of being opinionated so I'm sure there'll be some of that as well.

Thanks for your input!

So the back of the flashcard would have a few different algs to choose from... but if we want to use an alg that isn't one of the options, we can write it in ourselves? (There are so many algs for each case.) Or... say you can print up to 3 algs for each card, whoever is buying it can choose the alg(s) they want printed on the back? How about also choosing the orientation of the image in the front? (Or you could solve this by simply having square cards or something.)

I'd maybe like to see cards for 2x2 - CLL, EG-1, EG-2, etc.

Yeah having some blanks is a good idea for people who use less common algs. As for orientation, that is a problem. Square cards is okay, but then the set-up would be upside down or sideways. I guess I would probably orient it for the (seemingly) most used alg, and then have like (y) or (y') or whatever listed in front of the remaining algorithms.

To answer your question, yes, I was planning on including like 3 algs per card or so. And maybe have a check mark box beside them that you could check for the one you use, and then when you flip it over, your eyes are drawn to that alg.

Edit: Sorry, misunderstood part of your question. No, choosing algs per card per order would probably be a hassle and it would come standard with popular ones, and some blanks, as mentioned.

It's not a terrible idea. I would make these myself, but I'm sure that if your flashcards were high quality, they would be pretty popular. I would recommend talking with Chris Olson. His website has some really great algorithm sets, not only because the algorithms are good, but because of the way they are presented on the site.

For me physical flash cards are not comfortable for use. I use phone app for flash cards.

Good thing about Anki is fact, that you can easily make custom cards set. I made mine for 3BLD letter pairs memo.
I am not sure if copyrights of Anki allows user to sell custom decks to other users.
