first sub 20! (2 1/2 months in) (NL)

This is quite an achievement for me the time was 18.93 this was not even a lucky solve but I got the F2L in 10 secs!

I average 30 secs how long do you think it will take from here to get a sub 25 average?

What happened in your cubing after your first sub 20 solve??

One solve doesn't really do anything except give me a new benchmark for performance.

For example, that single sub20 is now my goal average. I remember what the single solve "feels like" and desire to imitate it

In terms of times though, sub30 is where my improvement started to slow down (cutting about 0.5-0.8sec a week off my average)

I got my first sub 20 solve last week, and first sub 30 average about a week before that, and since then I've continued improving but at a slower rate (about a second off my average every 4-5 days).. Very close to my first sub 25 average today (25.06), so I hope that answers your question. Not long to go now, sub-20 is coming!

Im currently also cubing for 2 months now, and I'm already consistent sub-30 with some sub 25 or even sub 20's (oll skip/ pll/ xcross/ double xcross). I do like 1-3 sub 20s because they were lucky, but my unlucky pb is the only time I got full step with a sub 20 time, and it was awesome. Currently my averages were from 24-26 seconds. Hopefully about next month I should be at least consistent sub 25, or even sub 20 if I practice .

Congratz, it's just a matter of practise until you will reach sub 25. I'm currently averaging 22-23s and my PR is 12.96.
Uh, getting a sub-20 solve didn't really change my cubing that much.

Well, it sort of changed my cubing!


I currently average 20s and a pb 3/5 of 17.82

I think sub 20 is a significant milestone in a cubers career
