Finger tricks better than wristing?

You don't really need to buy a DIY to get sub-1 minute. If you're using a store-bought Rubik's cube, and it's not lubricated, lubricate it. When I first bought my store-bought cube, I average around 2:30. After lubricate, 1:30 O.o (without finger tricks). And I got a lucky single solve of 55 seconds (I screamed like hell > <).

Of course, even when I first started, wristing was a lot better than using finger tricks, because I'm not used to it. But I know that wristing is not very efficient in speedcubing (except for some cubers like Dan Knights and Jessica Fridrich herself O.o). So I grabbed a video in Youtube about finger tricks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgr4SbZKF1k), which taught me how to apply finger tricks on the beginners LBL method. Then I just practiced, and slowly I got under 1 minute :D

It's the Layer-By-Layer method. I think that's the method you're using, unless you started with some other complex block-building method (I did :().
