I finally managed to solve the professor, my first ever solve, was on the gabbasoft program, and took me 600 moves and 29 minutes :] kinda happy with my first solve though

good job! before knowing anything about the method, I was really frightened of it. but now that I got it, its not bad at all. it just takes alot more work than regular 3x3.

Haha, yea, the 5x5 is always a good distraction if you ever just get bored with the 3x3

I think anyone who has solve the 3x3x3 should try solving the Revenge and Professor by themself. Its porbably more worth it and makes you feel better about your solve. After that then you can do whatever you want to get faster.

Well the only hard thing to deal with if you try it on your own are the parity issues. Okay one option woule be to scramble and try again...

lol. Yeah, I guess you are right. But I am sure after a while you can figure it out. If you are a serious cuber who has tried at least two different methods and aspects of cubing the solution shouldn't be hard to formulate.
