Finally! A sub-30 average!

It took me a while but I finally got a sub-30 average of 29.89s! How long did it take you guys to reach this milestone?

good job! It took me less than a month or so after learning fridrich F2L and I spent about a month to get down F2L and 3-4 month beginner method, so that's about 5 month. Now I'm stuck here for a long time. Except on ryanheise sim, where I feel I'll sub-20 any moment now as long as I don't mess up.

I've been cubing for 4 months with 2 months of the beginner method. I actually started on New Year's Eve this year. Pretty Cool huh?

What?! You got a sub 30 second average! !!!! OMG!!!! I've done over 10 averages of 12 and 5 over the past 3 days, and I can't get a sub 30 second average! I usually get 31-32 with average of 12, and 32-33 second with average of 5, but no sub 30 average!!!!!! I've tried so hard!!!! Lucky...

Don't worry cubefan, you will get sub 30 soon. It took me a long while to go from 31avg. to sub 30. Sub 30 avg. marks the start of a good cuber!

It took me a little over 3 months.

From the time I started seriously speedcubing, it took me about 13 months to get my first sub-30 average. From the time I first learned how to solve the cube, it took about 28 years.

But then, I did get distracted by "somewhat" time-consuming other things, like heavily practicing big cubes BLD and multiBLD. If I had devoted myself to just speedcubing, I'd like to think I would have progressed more quickly.
