Female World Record (FWR) Thread

i dont rlly like the idea of female wr's cus wtf does gender have to do with pattern recognition and motor skills. it also creates this whole debate on what counts as a woman which no-one on either side of the argument has the energy for.

With that logic NRs are also meaningless because country of origin also doesn't decide your skill level

yeah thats fair. in any case, its quite sad that the statistic means anything bc it just shows that women aren't as equally represented as men in cubing. it'd be ideal if for any world record itd be a 50-50 what gender holds it. hopefully someday thatll be the case

As far as I know, around 90% of cubers who have competed in a WCA competition are guys. Realistically, it's never going to be 50/50 or anywhere near that. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it just is the way it is.

I read through the thread and I still don't get what is being proposed. The OP says he wants a filter on the WCA page, fine, but I don't think that's going to make much of a difference
