So someone had thread going a couple years ago that I happened across.
http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?25517-Predict-Faz-s-secret!/page7
And a bunch of people did this reaction time test
http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime/index.php
Faz was getting times around 300, and I was making better times than him. And this seems impossible because I'm currently averageing around 32 seconds (stopped cubing for about six months). Then I thought to myself. Latency. I decided to ping www.humanbenchmark.com I did 5 tests and averaged the averages in true WCA regulation by dropping the higest and lowest) and I averaged 70 ms of latency. This meaning that my times should have been around 158.4 I just got onto the oceania server (which I elieve is based in Australia somewhere) on league of legends and my ping for that is around 250. So I can only assume that the distance from Faz to the server of thehumanbenchmark is around 200ms probably around 250ms

This means that he should have gotten around 50ms on the human benchmark. Therefore his reaciton time is about 3 times better than mine.

No. Latency or ping don't influence the score.

How come? It must because when I was in Las Vegas and tried it I was getting 400 scores and when I came home and tried it with much better internet I got 250's. Latency/ping MUST influence it. IT influences everything on the internet. It's just like with HDMI lag in rockband/guitar hero

It's a client-side script...

I think that measuring applet is some JavaScript, that runs in your browser. So there is no latency problem, because while test is in your local browser and not over the internet.

Or when you were in Vegas you were just slower because of alcohol ;)

You would like to think so, but I'm only 18. No alcohol for me. lol. Someone else mentioned look ahead, I do know he looks ahead quite a bit and he has been cubing for what... 5 years now? I know he always attempts to look for his first f2l pair during inspection. So I guess y'all are right insane look ahead could do it. I thought I had a really good theory going here. Dissapointment too great.
