I won't make a new thread so I'll ask in here. If you are in a comp and You're 15 sec starts to run. You find a bad cross (some 7-8 moves) and a F2L pair, but you come short with the time so you have to start the solve. You know the pair but you didn't have time to look ahead how to make a cross while saving the pair. In this case would you rather try to hold this pair and "go slow" or just do you're cross and "go fast" ?
Sorry if there's any mistake (I've never been to a comp), but I somewhy always try to keep the pair and mostly I end up 10-12 sec after the cross+first pair. I think it's a bad habit if you don't see the solve while inspection. But what do you do and what do you think about it??
