Hey, I'm wondering which one is more important and can decrease my times the most? I've got 6 weeks until Princeton and I want to focus on the more important thing to improve my F2L. I'm at 19-20 now, but for Princeton I want to be 16-17. Realistic goal?

maybe 16-17 at home if you practice your ass off. but if you must pick only one, I think it would be more beneficial to beef up your lookahead for Princeton. decreasing move count means your going to be doing a lot of slow solving and experimenting which you would still have to bring up to speed. I think right before a tournament it is better to own what you know instead of learn more....basically.

You scared me for a sec... with 19-20 move count for F2L...

I might go too but highly doubt it..

Maybe 17-18.

Why not do both?

I will try to do both, but I will focus on look ahead. And yes, last night, I thought that maybe for an average of 12 I could be at 18, so an average of 5 maybe 17 or lower.:)

6 weeks? should be enough time. for 5 weeks all i did was play with f2l. i cut my time down from about 16 to 8.

I was in the exactly same situation, but I had less time then you, and it ended with an sub 17 sec average

See you at princeton. If I don't practice at all, expect me to get about 30-35 seconds with good look ahead and no stopping at all. If I get faster fingers, expect me to be at sub-25.
