I can't find this elsewhere on the forum, so....

Dang! I was thinking that I would get all the puzzles I actually want to play with, and then someday get the most over the top ridiculous puzzle I could think of, solve the petaminx once, and put them all on my shelf and carry on with all the plans cubing interrupted. The Examinx is suddenly a new obstacle between myself and world domination. I'm afraid I'll never get there.

It will have 1508 pieces and 1812 stickers... the upcoming Moyu 15x15 will have "only" 1178 pieces and 1350 stickers... who's gonna solve that thing?, it would take forever and it will be kind of boring.

Has anybody heard anything else about this? It's been coming soon for a while. I'm unduly excited about it, because with the petaminx (now replaced by the Examinx) it's one of my bucket list puzzles. The bigger minxes are interesting strictly for their absurdity, but I have this crazy dream of getting beyond 10:00+ OP for 3BLD, and actually attempting a 15x15 blindsolve.

I remember Matt Bahner made a Examinx before, but the core broke in a tragic accident, so he just went one step higher and made a Yottaminx.
Two steps higher.

I don't think "the most ridiculous puzzle" is a static thing. There will always be something even more ridiculous coming along. That's the best bit about puzzles for me.
