I had two comps in two different countries past weekend.
On Saturday, I didn't get any pr, but I did get second in pyraminx with a 3.55 ao5.
On Sunday, I made megaminx cutoff with a 1:35 pr single and got 1:38 ao5 which is really good for me. I got 2x2 pr avg of 4.22 with a counting 3.2! I also got skewb 2.28 single which is nr11. And broke my oh average pr.
Really fun comps again, unfortunate that I didn't do well in the event I practised most: 3x3.

Another comp in a week!
I would say there are three people making a chance at placing second in pyraminx, hope I'm the one that gets it or else gets 3rd

Something I would really like: make the 7x7 cutoff of 4:30. My most recent ao12 is just barely sub 4:30, but I'd like to break my prs again (4:37 and 4:48 mean)
Fun fact: I met a cuber at the camping in the summer and this will be his first competition

Competition yesterday:
3x3: alright, beat my pr avg with 0.01, but it had a counting 13.17
2x2 and 4x4: not so good
7x7: made cutoff and got a 4:17 mean and 4:10 single
Megaminx: didn't practise, then got overall pb single and average with a 1:27 average and 1:18 single
Pyraminx: did alright for comp standards. 3.57 avg first round and 3.44 avg finals. I got fourth. Third place was 3.40 and second place 3.38, really close.

View attachment 23580I went to Ermelo Cubing B today. I'm really happy with my pyraminx and 4x4 results. I podiumed for the first time, which was really cool.

Some sad news: won't be able to cube as much as I used to, because I have a lot of homework, like five times as much as last schoolyear

I am learning cll! Started saterday, know 6 clls now. Planning on learning like 4 a day. 2x2 is basically my worst event now, I want to get my nr ranking average below 100. That means I have to get sub 4 average

Have you already learnt the T cases? The T case set is really really easy to learn

No, its a really long drive and right before nats, also my testweek (a lot of tests in 5 days) is right after nats, so got to study then to be able to go to both days of nats

I succesfully registered for Dutch nats. There are 250 competitors spots and they were filled within 35 seconds . 400 people total registered.

So I have a chance at pyraminx podium. The number one is going to be the nr holder, I'm 99% sure, but second and third place is going to be really close and I'd say about six people have a good chance of getting podium

Cll learning is not going that great, at 21/42 now after six days, but gettinf the mgc tommorrow might motivate me

Soooo, nationals the day after tomorrow. Some goals here: (also number of rounds there are/I can make when it is more than one)

7x7 make cutoff of 4:30 (I already have a mean, but would like to get another one)
5x5 pr avg around 1:30 and pr single sub 1:28 (2 rounds)
4x4 pr avg (probably 2 rounds)
skewb (2 rounds) & megaminx: don't care
2x2 just use the cll algoritms I know, even if just lbl is faster (2 rounds)
