"Dude - chicks dig Rubik's cubes"

These were the words my good friend uttered one day. I had said something about Rubik's cubing which prompted him to state this.

I have found these words to be quite true, it seems that solving a Rubik's cube works better than any pickup line ever could because it state that you are goal-oriented and makes you appear very smart. The trick is to not bring it up as the first part of a conversation, but eventually bring it up, do one fast solve and then make a very charismatic explanation about how you solve the cube.

Does anyone else agree with this statement?

I would agree as long as you are all geeky about it. If you are just casually solving then it looks really cool. Big cubes and BLD are especially impressive to people. It can go either way though. I don't think you should rely on cubing to get chicks however.
