Double-layer turns

How do you do double-layer turns d or d'?

I turn by holding with both thumb and index/ring fingers but find it not as nimble as when I am flipping the U or U'.

Do you use finger tips or holding to turn double layers?

I just hold the U slice and wrist d or d'. I rarely use those types of moves though unless I see something real good. It is normally faster to do U and rotate.

Try doing U and rotate the cube while turning. Although in one of my algorithms it does use a d'... I hold the top layer with my Thumb & middle finger, and I Hold d with my thumb index and middle finger.

I usually only do Double layers for l & r. I find everything else unnecessary for my type of solving.

Oh. I guess it doesn't hurt too much to cobe rotate unless it's 180 degrees.
