Does anyone know what happened to nathan wilsons channel?

[Eli Apperson]

I was looking for it and all of a sudden it is gone. Anyone know what happened?

Around a month ago, someone on the cubers subreddit posted the same thing. His video links lead to a 404, and when they link to his channel =, it says this account has been deleted.

So is it gone for good?

[hellocubers]

Maybe he accidentally deleted his channel.

I think youtube could probably get it back...

Yep they can IF he has a twitter account

According to the Reddit comments.

Nathan posted an update a couple months ago that said he was done (basically) making videos. I would assume getting rid of the channel is somehow related to that, though I don't know why he'd delete it entirely.

My guess: Quarter-life crisis

Deleting all the videos from the youtube channel is an extreme step to take.

I asked SpeedCubeReview and he gave a curt and vague answer:
"He decided he didn't want to do cubing mods anymore and removed his channel."
I didn't press further

Darn. He made some pretty cool play buttons for different YouTubers, ex. Infinite

For real. Like qwr said, he's probably going through something and that was part of coping

He was a big inspiration for me to do my little mods - nothing big like he does, but little things like removing the caps off of a kilominx or adding extra magnets to my tengyun. It's a shame I don't think I ever got to thank him for his very well put together videos. If you allow me to be dramatic: we live in an age of buying things and throwing them away after a few years, so building and fixing things is like a lost art.

So true

Not dramatic. Just factual.

In other news, It looks like you can set an entire channel to “Private” where only people given access can see the videos. It would be nice if his channel is in some purgatory state like this because he had some good content. Whether that’s what happened or is actually feasible with his specific channel is purely speculation.

He's back!

Let's rejoice knowing we'll be getting some great modding content in the future! I always appreciate some honesty so I hope he's staying mentally strong and continuing to heal.
