Do you have problem with sledgehammer for OH?

When I do R'FRF' insertions for OH

it is like R'z'URU'z.

A couple of problems:
1. The cube rotation which slows it down
2. Most importantly the top face goes to the back which hurts lookahead.

After sledgehammer and z rotate back I often has to pause to look at the top face again, then decide what to do next. Especially for VHF2L which does a lot of sledgehammer for edge control. How do you deal with this?

I think you mean x, not z.
You could set it up so that the slot you're solving is BR, so that you can do an x' rotation and do sledgehammer with U and R turns and the LL on F.

and the way you wrote it should be written like R' x U R U' x'

Looking ahead does not work, that's true. But if you solve it to the back slot instead you will have LL on front : (y' x') U' R U l'
