Hi!

Name's Neel, I've known how to solve the cube for about two years. Back in October, our school's cube team (which was thrown together a week in advance) attended a competition as part of the US Science and Engineering Festival in D.C., in hopes that our Magnet high school Blair would beat out rival Magnet high school Poolesville. We placed 4th on fairly mediocre times, falling just behind Poolesville, but on the plus side, we convinced Ernő Rubik to autograph all our cubes. :) More importantly, that got me started with competitive speedcubing. Over the last few months, I have begun learning in earnest, and I competed in my first WCA competition two days ago with an average of 00:26.26.

Anyway, this post has gone on long enough. I've learned my full PLL, will be working on my OLL this summer, and hope to have sub-20 averages by the time term starts at University of Maryland this fall (hope my expectations aren't too high). I'd also like to learn BLD soon, and perhaps get my six-year-old sister started (never too early, right?)

Thanks for reading (or, at least, briefly skimming)!
