[Official] DNF 2x2 Average (Massive WR Fail Alert) - Chris Olson

Where was a scramble discussed at?
I'm not doubting you, I just don't know where in the video it is.

Edit: as far as "disturbing the competitor" goes, where did that happen?
The scramble got discussed directly after the 2nd solve
The 'disturbing the competitor' happens during the inspection of the 5th solve

Ahhh yes. The 5th solve. Sadly that's something that happens to me frequently with people. I've just put up with it I guess.

For the 2nd solve, could you tell me what was said? So far all I'm seeing was me saying "sorry I suck" and then telling someone I got a 1.44.

Is it common for everyone to be this loud at the timers? If I am not mistaken there is another competitor solving next to Chris while everyone else is "oh my goaad-ing" for a couple of minutes.

I would say that loud isn't too uncommon.
Probably wouldn't normally be this loud though. This was the judges round so there only like 4 people in it.

Thank you for adding this comment. I have never been to a competition that has a judges round. (or didn't notice it going on). I don't know if that makes what is going on here better or worse but that is up to the people that were involved to decide. It just looked very unofficial to me.

What is the purpose of a judges round? I assume it is to push the fast/experienced people forward so they can do the judging and scrambling first. I ask because 10 minutes for 5 2x2x2 solves doesn't seem like it is helping the time schedule

Generally when people volunteer to judge/scramble, they will have their own little round with their own scrambles before the other heats. Usually faster people don't need to be pushed through for smaller cubes anyway because almost anyone can scramble a 2x2 or 3x3 pretty quickly. With more specialized events (sq1, clock, etc), I've found they usually push faster people through because they scramble the fastest.

lol funny video. jacob, you seriously think you're better than me at 2x2?

How is calling someone "nub" acceptable behavior?

The same reason that calling my brother my brother is acceptable behavior.

I *dooooo* have a 2.1x avg100, just like you.

Also, I think I just said I was faster until I realized you were actually practicing, in which case we're even or you're faster.

I hear it's this nub who sucks at 4x4

That's exactly correct.
