I got a DIY a few weeks ago from rubiks.com and at first it was popping a lot so I tightened it until it doesn't pop anymore but sometimes it will lock up (not sure if thats the term for it, I'm talking about when I go to turn it but one of the faces is off and it doesn't turn). Usually when this happens a lot I start to get frustrated which makes me turn more aggressively which in turn makes the cube lock up, its a vicious cycle
. Actually, I just got a particularly bad lockup right on my last algorithm when I'm usually just trying to go through the alg as fast as I can and I subsequently popped 12 of the cubies.
anyone got any tips? do I just need to get more precise at my turns or is there something I can actually do (I lube the cube with the stuff that came with my DIY)
