differences betweeen sitting and standing.

Fun fact: back when I started competing, almost everyone stood and only a few people requested chairs. This is probably I always stand in competition (except for FMC and long BLD events, like big cube and multi). Maybe it's just a superstition thing; I've never tried competing while sitting down.

Seriously - an average of 12 and it determines whether you do better sitting or standing? I don't think that justifies enough...

But I guess when you're sitting at home cubing all day you tend to get accustomed and bored..but once you try standing your mind becomes more alert..so it might make you focus more

If you're serious about testing this, I don't think it's enough to do a sitting average and THEN a standing average (or vice versa), because you could change between the averages. You could get more warmed up, or more tired. I suggest alternating between the two - do a sitting solve, then a standing solve, and so on, so that the two averages are really under the same conditions except for whether you're sitting or standing. (You'll need to do 24 solves in a row for this, if you want averages of 12).

hmm good idea. I'll try to get that done tomorrow.
