Hello people!

How do you decrease your execution time of algorithms? I can do 2look LL, but that does not help much when each step is >4 sec!

Any tips, other than practice practice?

I would recommend watching videos of how people execute algorithms. For example, some of the G perms on Yu Nakajima's page I can execute in sub-2, which I would never have dreamed of with the way I was doing it before.

Just practice the algs over and over. One more fun way is to do time attacks (memorize or write down an order for all PLLs or OLLs and then try to do all of them in as little total time as possible). I think the world record PLL attack is just under 30 seconds but you should aim for under a minute for now (and under 2:30 or so for an OLL attack). Try timing each algorithm over and over and write down your best times, and then work on ones that you think are slower than they should be. If you are having particular trouble it might be worth watching some people do it on youtube - I think one or two fast people have made slow motion videos of their PLL attacks, so you can watch that to see if they have better ways of doing the algorithms than you do.
